ABA Chief Executive, Anna Bligh, and Bauer Media Finance Editor and Financial Literacy Campaigner, Effie Zahos, invite you to the national launch of the Elder Financial Abuse Prevention campaign.
Financial abuse of the elderly is fast becoming one of Australia’s most serious social issues.
Banks and the ABA are committed to stopping this abuse, and have joined with Bauer Media to launch a national campaign for the prevention of elder financial abuse.
This event will give participants an opportunity to hear from experts about who is at risk, and how people, particularly older people, can protect themselves – including what needs to be done to stop it.
Joining the speakers panel are Qld Public Guardian, Natalie Siegel-Brown, the Seniors Rights Service Chief Executive, Russell Westacott, and ANZ’s Customer Advocate, Jo McKinstray.
